Admin Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant / Supervisor at Micron Technology, Inc. , you will be responsible for coordinating department resources including directing office remodels and personnel moves, entering work order requests, and overseeing maintenance for department area and conference rooms. In this role, you will maintain office area efficiency, create, and distribute communication supporting the intranet and collaboration sites as well as the virtual environment. You will prepare reports and agendas that may require compiling and formatting data from multiple sources and composing replies to correspondence. You will arrange appointments and travel reservations and process expense reports. Additional responsibilities will include making routine purchases within prescribed guidelines and provide area-specific support.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

Coordinate Department Resources

  • Coordinate and manage schedules for assigned leadership
  • Enter work order requests
  • Coordinate office remodels and personnel moves
  • Schedule resources online (e.g., rooms, conference bridges, teleconference, video, telepresence)
  • Oversee maintenance for department area and conference rooms
  • Update team member information on intranet
  • Manage department record retention
  • Schedule catering orders

Maintain Office Area Efficiency

  • Distribute mail and packages     
  • Arrange and track package shipments   
  • Act as proxy for area supervisors and managers

Create and Distribute Communication

  • Answer telephones and route calls and messages
  • Respond to management and team member inquiries
  • Support virtual environment
  • Assist with meetings (e.g., logistics, minutes)
  • Support intranet and collaboration sites
  • Create, edit, and distribute department information
  • Manage and correspond with internal and external contacts

Order Supplies

  • Order office and equipment supplies
  • Order business cards and corporate credit cards
  • Order other electronic devices (e.g., iPhone for M3s)
  • Manage company related purchases
  • Manage office equipment supply inventory        

Coordinate Travel and Expenses

  • Schedule travel
  • Process expense reports

Provide Area Support

  • Provide back-up to other administrative assistants
  • Coordinate internal and external events
  • Track department discretionary funds
  • Enter visitors in Visit program and submit parking reservation, when needed
  • Document all Admin processes and procedure in the Admin manual
  • Responsible for locker assignment and database maintenance

Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment

  • Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies
  • Participate in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (e.g., ERT, Supervision)

Perform Supervisory Functions (For Supervisor Role Only)

  • Manage team staffing, expectations, development, and succession
  • Distribute work and learning opportunities
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution
  • Support department performance improvement and efficiency activities
