Global Automotive Sales Manager

Global Account Managers at Micron have total ownership and accountability for general business management and development activities specific to the Micron’s strategic customers. Global Account Managers generally manage one or more Global Account. Sales ownership is encouraged throughout the entire sales process (qualification to end-of-life).

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage one or more OEM Global Accounts based in Germany leading all aspects of sales and design in activities at customer and partner locations worldwide
  • Cultivate deeper customer engagement
  • Build, develop and manage strategic relationship at customer side, from tactical to executive level
  • Develop and grow business using value based selling approach
  • Establish strategic account planning, defining long-term objectives for key customer(s) with input and support of business unit and relevant stakeholder
  • Establish plan for reaching objectives and seek plan execution using Micron team members ownership and accountability
  • Communicate routinely and proactively with internal teams to ensure that Micron is on track to achieve defined objectives. Builds openness/visibility to performance and holds team members accountable for their performance
  • Demonstrate effective presentation and command skills within customer and internal meetings
  • Proactively take ownership for follow up on meeting actions and hold team accountability
  • Analyze business to identify areas of strong performance and areas for improvement and communicate to team and measure efficiency
  • Take a firm stand to support Micron and protect the objectives of the account
  • Establish ongoing communication links with other field sales personnel and internal contacts to ensure that account objectives, action plans, issues, and follow up are clear to entire team
  • Manage internally the communication with Executives in professional and timely manner
  • Develop new business opportunities

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics or related
  • BSA, MBA highly desirable - Marketing/ Business Administration/Management

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Solid understanding and experience in the Automotive segment is required
  • Proficiency in German and English language is crucial
  • Consistent track record in Global Semiconductor Sales Account management, preferably for memories or digital processing
  • Solid leadership experience with value based selling skills
  • Customer focused demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Upbeat teammate with ethos of high performance and ability to lead virtual teams
  • Flexible with ability to adapt to change in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Ability to manage own time and multi-task combined with strong organizational skills
  • Proactive, driven, smart, and willing to learn with a desire to succeed
  • Ability to represent the company in a highly professional manner both over the phone and face-to-face
  • Digital literacy in Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel), ERP/CRM system or similar (SAP, Salesforce.com, SharePoint, Model N); a technical aptitude to learn software tools is required
  • Frequent travel to customer sites, events, and training is essential
