Job Description

EHS Technician is responsible to perform compliance monitoring review on environmental, occupational health and safety system and supporting activities to meet regulatory and company requirements, guidelines and standard.


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Responsible for understanding and following regulations that apply to site in their subject field to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal rules & regulations.
  • Responsible to assist EHS engineer for ensuring compliance of Micron’s Corporate EHS Policies
  • Responsible to assist EHS engineer in developing, implementing and maintaining programs designed for Emergency Response Plan & Preparedness
  • In charge to lead, manage and supervise day to day operation as ERT Shift Commander for Shift ERT Team members
  • Responsible to inspect & maintain Emergency ERT Equipments
  • Responsible to perform operation monitoring for Environmental, Health & Safety system or programs
  • Responsible to record and perform onsite inspection & monitoring for daily work permit approval such as Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Permit, Working at Height Permit etc.
  • Responsible to perform contractor safety briefing & training 
  • Responsible to perform containment action for any unsafe condition, unsafe act, near miss & EHS accidents/incidents
  • Responsible to perform daily EHS inspection, detect and report EHS related concern at site to EHS engineer
  • Represents EHS Dept in a professional and effective manner to both internal and external parties




  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Chemical) / Science related to Environmental/Health/Safety


Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Having at least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Preferably specialization in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent is an added advantage
  • Good understanding Environmental Management systems and Occupational Safety & Health Management System
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Skills – Proficient in using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer)
