Assembly Equipment Technician

Equipment Technician are responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of machinery, which include shift crews’ activities example conversion, schedule & unscheduled repair maintenance to ensure proper maintenance is performed on equipment and acting as a communications liaison between engineering workforce in shop floor to manufacturing supervisor as well as equipment and process engineers.


Equipment technician also responsible for managing shift crew including manage manpower coverage, identify risk level when handling machine issue, shift passdown including action review, able to dictate workflows and set priorities. For people management, capability to evaluate and develops personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function would be part of role and responsibility for this position.


Equipment Technician need to performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine equipment problems in manufacturing process are the basic skill set required. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals.


Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Perform periodic equipment preventive/predictive maintenance
  • Perform daily/weekly equipment critical parameters inspection
  • Ensure zero defect products by ensuring proper equipment setup & buyoff 
  • Bring up equipment in an efficient manner and minimum downtime
  • Manage shift crew to ensure operation efficiency
  • Act as shift leader and be the communications liaison between engineering workforce in shop floor to manufacturing supervisor



  • Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong interest in working in a dynamic environment
  • Apply problem-solving technique by available tools and resources to solve the problem
  • Knowledge in Assembly Process with 5 years’ experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing will be added advantages.
  • Strong Performer, Fast Learner, independent and highly motivated
  • The capability of analyzing data and problem solving
