As a Design Quality Lead at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be the quality expert for NAND Memory Design in US/Japan centers. You will be responsible to drive a culture of quality through the world-wide adoption of quality management principles. You will partner with Design, Product Engineering and R&D to ensure quality by performing Risk Management, Failure Analysis and preparation for Audits. You will suggest improvements in the Design process and facilitate alignment to industry defined standards and certifications.  

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Product Risk Management: Drive and facilitate DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) process for US based NAND Memory product designs. Identify product risks and drive mitigation actions working with cross-functional team members from Design, Product Engineering, R&D and Global Quality. Facilitate cross functional team review meetings
  • Product Failure Root Cause Analysis: Drive and facilitate the 8D/RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions) process to analyze design related silicon bugs and help define solutions to prevent recurrence. Monitor metrics for silicon bugs performance and drive quality improvements
  • ISO 9001/IATF Compliance Audit Support: Drive and facilitate NAND Design Engineering compliance with ISO 9001/IATF/ISO 26262 standards. Facilitate design process definition and supporting documentation.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years Design Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry. Memory products experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Analog circuit design and Digital design techniques and simulation methodologies
  • Excellent Communication skills and Documentation skills are required
  • Experience with Risk Management/DFMEA and 8D/Problem Solving techniques preferred
  • A mindset of Quality and striving for excellence in all activities
  • BSEE required
