As a Staff Circuit Design Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for the setup and implementation of semiconductor electrical circuit characterization, reliability analysis and full-chip circuit verification of state-of-the art of NAND FLASH designs. Working as a Circuit Design Quality and Reliability Engineer you will be required to develop electrical circuit simulation decks, to test functionality and reliability of the NAND FLASH designs under development, and to acquire knowledge of new reliability mechanisms and all the new circuit and design features. 

 

You are expected to perform pre- and post-layout extraction and simulations activities on both block level and full-chip analysis. Future responsibilities include developing innovative circuit verification flows with CAD team as well as writing short Perl or Python programs to assist the analysis of simulation results.  It is an added benefit if the candidate possesses basic Verilog-A knowledge.

 

The Staff Circuit Design Engineer is required to have solid communication abilities.  He periodically will present his work in a clear and effective way during cross-functional meetings, together with a strong ability to be highly skilled at driving for results.

 

A good team player is essential for this job as the Staff Circuit Design Engineer is expected to interact with various design, product engineering, and CAD teams globally.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • MS or equivalent foreign education in Electrical and Computer or Electronics Engineering
  • 8+ years circuit design experience preferred.
  • An understanding of memory, analog, and mixed-signal design. Knowledge of various circuit’s functionality.
  • Knowledge of circuit simulators such as XA, hspice and/or hsim/finesim, etc.
  • Knowledge with StarRC/Calibre parasitic extraction flow and capability to debug extraction issues.
  • A good understanding of semiconductor reliability issues including CHC, NBTI, stress and snapback, as well as Electromigration (EM) and IR analysis.
  • Basic proficiency of Perl and/or Python coding.
  • Basic knowledge of Verilog-A simulation and modeling.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso or similar schematic management tools.
  • Prior experience working with CAD team, developing and debugging flow is a big plus.
