As a Program Manager in the Global Operations Portfolio Management Office (PMO) at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for running the portfolio supporting the strategic and/or tactical objectives of Global Operations’ (GO) various constituent teams based on company strategies. You are responsible for stewarding critical process improvement initiatives and providing leadership and direction to drive effective execution to achieve corporate strategic objectives. You will collaborate with and partner directly with executives, senior leaders and partners of large-scale change initiatives to ensure those best-known methods in program management and project management are effectively applied and that the identified value is delivered. You will also work with any outside organization where Cross-Departmental programs are largely owned by the Global Operations, Center of Excellence of Portfolio Management Office, Micron Business Essentials, Center of Excellence of Business Process Management (BPM).

You will:

Provide Strategic Leadership

  • Communicate and implement Global Operations Executive Leadership Team strategy with PMO resources
  • Work with business partners to ensure the best talent is mobilized to business-critical deliverables
  • Create a clear vision, roadmap, and ecosystem for alignment of team activities to a forward target performance profile
  • Lead the design stage of each program from benefits identification and requirements gathering to implementation and benefits realization
  • Create an environment with your cross-functional group that encourages innovation and leadership in key areas of focus.

Provide Tactical Leadership

  • Establish structure and ensure work reviews are conducted on all programs, projects and critical activities to ensure achievement of committed performance
  • Provide direct leadership on most critical group deliverables and raised performance items to ensure barriers are removed and correct resources are applied.
  • Facilitate regular meeting with key business partners
  • Assign resources to drive actions defined from meetings
  • Execute, maintain, and continuously improve operations project management and business process in alignment in accordance with QMS standards
  • Effectively lead team’s internal and worldwide meeting structure to ensure meetings are efficient, effective and targeted to achieve required outcomes
  • Oversee escalation issues between the central team and global manufacturing sites as required to drive operations objectives.

Implement and Manage Data-Driven Decision-making Processes

  • Participate in Key Performance Indicators (KPI) meetings with key customers and partners
  • Communicate and assess metric performance and activities to metrics owners, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Connect Global Operations dashboard(s) to functions and corporate level metrics, dashboards, and strategic objectives
  • Define and lead Portfolio critical metrics and return on investment and enable the Tactical team for success

Provide Communication to cross-functional Team Members and Senior Management

  • Provide regular and structured communications to cross-functional team, including progress toward strategic objectives, operations goals, priority projects, and company status. Ensure that Team Members are well-engaged and motivated to achieve group and company objectives.
  • Provide a work environment that empowers cross-functional team member to creatively improve their work environment, instills a sense of ownership in Production Operations, and supports a team effort.
  • Provide regular business projects/programs updates to key business partners which should show progress against timelines and metrics to add to vision and direction
  • Develop external relationships to achieve new ideas and procedures to keep pace with industry standards and methods
  • Lead communication on critical projects and activities and be prepared to share the status of any underperforming project or activity, along with actions required to resolve performance problems

Education

MBA Degree or Masters in Operations w/ a Bachelors degree in Engineering field  or equivalent  3 yrs of experience running engineering programs

  • PMP Certification preferred
