It is if you are a detail oriented ASIC Qualification Engineer who is a self-starter and thrives in an independent work environment. Engineers inquiring about this position should be experienced in all aspects of ASIC reliability engineering, work with ASIC design and Foundry teams to define qualification plans and requirements for internal designs and third-party IP’s. Ability to work with internal reliability equipment as well as management of outsourcing services.  Experience in Storage products is desired as well as familiarity with Product and Test Engineering, reliability stress and test platforms and IC packaging.  Successful candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills and should be comfortable in explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences including more senior engineers and management teams.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in semiconductor reliability and qualification (HTOL/LTOL, HAST, ESD/LU, ELFR, etc.). Understanding of semiconductor FAB manufacturing process, FAB related defects and failure modes. Understanding of ESD and LU testing methodology and failure mechanisms. Background in Product and test engineering. Technical documentation authoring and editing skills.
  • Cross-functional experience and ability to work with PE, TE, Design, Package, Foundry and FA to pursue the failure analysis for reliability failures in three phases of FA: electrical, non-destructive and destructive physical analyses.
  • Advantage: background in Packaging, Assembly-related defects and Package to Die interaction, experience in direct operation of reliability and failure analysis equipment, experience in statistical data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor qualification role.
