If so, you may be a fantastic candidate for our Senior Manager, Employee Relations position at Micron Technology, Inc., a global, Fortune 150 leader in the semiconductor industry based in Boise, Idaho.

The Director, Employee Relations develops and leads the Employee Relations activities and function for the company, including developing sound policies and practices that contribute to a positive employee environment and mitigates/minimizes risk. Will be responsible for evolving the Employee Relations Center of Excellence for the company to achieve greater productivity, efficiency, and reinforce Micron’s values.


In this role, you will:

  • Collaboratively define and set the HR Employee Relations global vision and roadmap with key internal stakeholders
  • Inspire, develop, and lead a highly skilled group of ER specialist located throughout the world
  • Manage Employee Relations processes, including separations, severance/ unemployment, and restructuring activities
  • Establish globally aligned ER processes, such as separation and restructuring processes, where applicable
  • Create and maintain networks with regional and global counterparts, team members, and other officials, such as governmental organizations and unions, as applicable
  • Effectively communicate a shared vision of Employee Relations in alignment with company direction
  • Ensure Employee Relations team provide best-in-class performance and significantly contribute to an outstanding team member experience globally
  • Collaborate with decision makers and HR business partners on critical elements of compliance and investigations outcomes
  • Create and manage Team Member Handbooks or Rules of Employment and related documentation to ensure regional sites are following Corporate standards set forth for creating, editing and publishing these documents
  • Administer global employee relations program which addresses consistent application of human resources policies, including progressive discipline and termination issues.
  • Stay current (personally and through development of your team) with HR trends, employment law and diversity and inclusion landscapes


Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Ensure operational excellence and performance of our current Employee Relations solutions
  • Work directly with internal and external partners to ensure a respectful workplace
  • Drive new implementation, or improvement/replacements of existing employee relations solutions aligned with enabling Micron’s HR mission
  • Encourage the team to drive innovation helping solve business and team member problems
  • Inspire, lead, and mentor your team members for their development and ensuring accountability to both results and behaviors


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Robust understanding of key HR concepts and practices (employment law, compliance, engagement, retention, performance, compensation, talent acquisition)
  • 7+ years of experience leading cross-functional regional and global projects of significant scope, complexity, and of a highly sensitive nature.
  • Knowledge of HR systems, programs and global footprint, trends
  • Due to the nature of the work within the organization, very short notice domestic and international travel may be required.
  • With international activities, conference calls in the early morning or late evenings are a normal course of business.  Flexibility on both your part and the company’s is expected.
  • Many activities within your organization are highly sensitive in nature and will require discretion.



  • BS in HR or Business
  • Masters level degree or MBA preferred
