Senior Product Marketing Manager

Micron’s commercial products group (CPG) is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to drive the growth of the Cloud Segment in the commercial channel. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this high-impact role will play a key role in the channel enablement, go-to-market and market segment share for Micron Brande Cloud SSDs across the globe.

 

In this role you will be an expert to our customers, products, and infrastructure to optimize our Cloud SSD opportunity through our go to market plans in the commercial channel. You will drive the overall strategy for the Cloud SSD business to optimize resource usage and deliver growth in the channel. 

 

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Storage Business Unit (SBU) to align our strategy and objectives
  • Meet the Cloud SSD business goals by continuously assessing and adjusting plans as needed
  • Develop and maintain optimal product and solution assortment including SKU rationalization and new product introductions into the commercial channel
  • Drive new product launch plans and sustaining programs with marketing, sales, and business operations teams to optimize overall revenue opportunity
  • Coordinate cross BU communications with product marketing and management teams in SBU
  • Work with sales to manage an opportunity pipeline to effectively forecast segment performance
  • Coordinate with business ops team to define and maintain optimal product stocking levels
  • Gather and build competitive info to drive the most appropriate products, pricing and services
  • Develop a new product validation plan and track progress at key customers, key motherboard manufacturers, chipset venders, and system builders
  • Drive customer outreach activities and relationships to grow the business
  • Coordinate and drive PM requirements for related customer web experience applications
  • Review and contribute to all related commercial marketing collateral
  • Ensure appropriate training of sales and partners for Cloud SSDs are completed as needed

 

 

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years combined product marketing and sales in storage or tech-related field across international markets through direct and indirect sales
  • 5+ years managing DRAM or storage
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; Master’s degree is a plus

 

 

Required Skills:

  • A thorough understanding of the PC hardware ecosystem, particularly around motherboards, processors and DRAM
  • Solid planning and organizational abilities along with a great attention to detail
  • High level of judgement when interpreting input from the market
  • A mastery of project management skills that enables successfully driving a diverse set of resources and cross-functional teams to a common goal
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in use of personal computers and Microsoft Office with excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentations
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
