Senior Manager, Business Planning

The Consumer Products group (CPG) Sr. Manager of Business Planning will lead a team responsible for defining & managing processes that develop the CPG business plan and managing performance to plan, inclusive of metrics and data points crucial to the measurement and evaluation of the operation of CPG. The Sr. Manager will advise others to apply the appropriate analysis to build data outputs that will help various teams make critical business decisions based on this data. This role will also lead and manage the critical sub processes to ensure the organization is aligned to CPG business plan expectations. This role has subject matter authority of the CPG business plan and drives these goals/targets across all impacted organizations for successful attainment. As the manager of the team you will be part of a broad group of individuals within CPG and across the company working to manage and influence CPV strategic and business planning results.

 

On a day to day basis, the Sr. Manager will manage a team that develops solutions to business needs and works on ad hoc projects across all business functions as needed. Furthermore, this role will work closely with the Business, Finance, and Sales Operations teams to ensure data integrity, both for reporting and analysis purposes. This role will also be responsible for exploring and introducing new, creative avenues of data utilization to help define strategies that will help the business grow efficiently, effectively, and profitably.

 

An experienced leader with the proven ability to influence senior management to drive business decisions using both data and analysis is desired. A bachelor’s degree and ten or more years of experience in a similar business analysis role with demonstrated increases in levels of responsibility are preferred. An MBA degree is preferred. Excellent oral and written presentation skills, a great teammate attitude, and a clear focus on team business objectives will all be vital to succeed in this role.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the development of the CPG business plan, highlight business plan risks, and make recommendations and/or decisions that support business objectives
  • Build long term business plans that help achieve the Business Unit’s revenue growth plans, while taking into account product roadmaps, TAM, SAM, and market share targets.
  • Executive deliverables inclusive of executive Operations reviews, annual goal planning and progress reporting
  • Create, define, and implement business processes and metrics that support business unit objectives
  • Work cross-functionally with Business, Finance, Pricing, and Sales teams to gather market intelligence data that will be direct inputs into the business plan
  • Analyze performance to plan results, including tracking and documenting performance to CPG’s annual and quarterly goals and priorities, highlight areas of strength and challenges, and provide recommendations for improvement to achieve plan.
  • Work with Business Operations team to manage the financial impacts of inventory and future supply considerations to support customer demand
  • Build and maintain various business analytics and reports on products, customers, and business opportunities to strategically optimize the P&L
  • Work with Business Line Mangers and Finance to provide financial analysis of product alternatives and scenarios
  • Serve as a leader with vision in the development of business solutions
  • Work with the Business Managers to help prioritize team issues and projects
  • Help identify headcount needs and consult on hiring decisions
