RDA Shift Process Technician

As a Real-time Defect Analysis (RDA) Shift Process Technician you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and escalating potential inline defect-driven issues. You must be able to multitask and provide high quality data in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
 
Responsibilities and Tasks
 
Ensure Product Quality 
• Recognize prior and current level out of control conditions and understand when to collect additional data such as additional wafer scans and/or optical or Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images
• Collect and properly classify Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and optical scope images of process caused defects
• Complete defect data analysis by using different imaging and software packages along with statistical analysis tools to evaluate data and to immediately inform the shift excursion team to address issues
• Prioritize work at the SEM workstation to make sure material is handled based on established prioritization schemes
• Identify RDA inspection issues (alignment and recipe), sampling setup issues, reaction mechanism and SPC related issue. Escalate to the appropriate personnel for troubleshooting.
• Identify potential excursion and/or scrap issues and notify shift excursion team for proper escalation to process areas
• Interpret Special Work Requests (SWR) instructions and process through the RDA inspection, review and disposition loop while providing feedback for any issues identified with incorrect SWR setup or execution
• Stay up to date on current inline defect issues, excursions and be able to recognize known signatures as well as sourcing issues to specific areas/tools
• Demonstrate basic understanding of the process flow for all devices and apply it towards the disposition of material
• Understand the functions of key components and structures found on all product types
• Able to describe the mechanism of how different defects are formed


Controls, Maintains, and Improves Process 
• Understands statistical systems and is capable of addressing out of control points with appropriate escalation levels by following established reaction mechanisms 
• Use critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to solve problems and can write detailed Quality Deviation Reports (QDR) for defect issues
• Able to navigate through reports/applications and check metrics that provide information on the current health and equipment conditions in the area
• Recognizes when others may be absent and can help fill in and look for opportunities to attend to neglected work stations or overlooked shift responsibilities
• Able to multi-task by running multiple tools and handle manual defect classification and creation of deviation reports of several lots at the same time 
• Assist by putting together PowerPoint reports for various customer needs and provide the excursion team with necessary support to follow up on active excursions
• Understand and track the flow of material through the production line

Education:
Currently pursuing or have complerted Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field.  Related job experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirments.
