Manufacturing Industrial Engineer 1

As a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA, you will be part of the team responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of the overall manufacturing line.  You will work closely with every manufacturing area to improve workstation efficiency, tool loading optimization, output ramp planning, and cycle time improvement.  You will be responsible for;

 

Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Secure Work Environment

  • Maintain a positive culture for safety and environmental programs at MTV.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental compliance-related work tasks are met according to the requirements
  • Enforce all safety and environmental policies, where applicable, and hold team members accountable when performance gaps exist

Area Productivity Enhancements

  • Collaborate with process engineering to identify optimal tool release strategies utilizing queuing theory and optimization modeling
  • Drive workstation efficiency improvements through identification and analysis of lost time and stand by time drivers; work with process engineering and production to address identified issues
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for area scheduling and work with appropriate stakeholders to identify and implement area scheduling enhancements

Queue Time Management

  • Highlights queue time concerns to area and work with appropriate teams to resolve issues.

 

Communication and Collaboration

  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Communicate all concerns regarding obstacles, gaps in training, issues with capability, or time constraints
  • Resolve conflict situations without requiring the supervisor to be involved
  • Keep sensitive materials confidential
  • Work effectively with personnel both inside and outside of the Industrial Engineering  team to come up with solutions

Personal and Professional Growth

  • Complete all required training and demonstrate working knowledge of acquired skills
  • Strive for professional betterment through personal reflection and open dialogue regarding strengths and opportunities with supervisor
  • Identify gaps in skill set and knowledge and pursues training to remedy
  • Set goals and milestones for self and utilizes all available resources to meet these goals

Training and Documentation (IATF)

  • Provide training to new team members
  • Address all  ECN within seven days of initial communication
  • Follow all required IATF documentation
  • Understand the Schedule Site Production and Fabricate Wafers business processes

  • Good understanding of the semiconductor process flow, structure and functions.
  • Project management experience, leading and directing projects.

Education:

BS degree in an engineering discipline, Production Operations Management (POM) or equivalent degree.
