As a probe equipment engineer you will support probe manufacturing needs and prepare the probe area for cost effective parametric and functional probe equipment solutions to meet capacity and availability requirements. Must have the ability to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, repair and maintain wafer handling equipment and wafer test equipment capable of testing DRAM, FLASH and NOR memory products. In this role, you will develop detailed installation schedules, prepare facilities design requirements, participate in capacity optimization and manufacturing optimization, documenting planned maintenance and calibration procedures, spare parts provision etc. You will also interface with internal and external groups regarding execution of equipment experiments, characterization and various hardware evaluations. You will be responsible for planning future product’s support, including enhanced probe card parallel test capability and first article interface hardware requirements. You will also develop capability for accurate equipment performance monitoring to maintain control of the probing process and address problems in a proactive and effective way.  You will also be required to perform statistical analysis of electrical production data and tool parameters to ensure production quality. You must have a strong attention to detail, effective dimensioning skills to micron and submicron levels, be capable of multitasking in a dynamic atmosphere and be recognized as the mechanical and electrical problem escalation source, while providing daily production, equipment maintenance support and training.

 

This position will require you to be on call and provide off-hours production support and include activity in a clean room environment. The specific nature of the above responsibilities can be expected to evolve and change in the future to meet new goals.

 

Successful candidates for the position will have:

  • Semiconductor automatic test equipment ATE experience:
    • Semiconductor electrical probe test equipment.
    • Semiconductor wafer handling equipment.
    • Semiconductor wafer probing equipment.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing cleanroom experience.  
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Excellent technical communication, written and verbal, skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work and solve complex problems in a manufacturing environment.

 

Helpful additional specific knowledge:

  • Practical application and experience with SPC.
  • Basic Linux, Unix, Windows operating systems and MS Office products.
  • Software programing experience; Python, Perl, C++.
  • Memory Semiconductor device knowledge; NAND, DRAM, NOR.
