As a FEMQA Engineering Intern in Micron Fab 6, you will be responsible for supporting Micron quality initiative by leading DRAM/NAND/NOR product quality and reliability risk assessments through statistical data analysis, approval of process changes and driving global projects spanning multiple Micron sites/departments. This will involve working closely with Fab Process/Yield/Integration, Product Engineering and other Global Quality teams in assessing complex quality and reliability problems to ensure the highest quality product ships at the right time to our customers.


Job Responsibilities:
•Drive Quality& Reliability risk assessment for wafer quality indicators and quality events highlighted by YE, RDA or Fab engineering
•Work closely with fab partners to identify, contain non-conforming wafers (unplanned deviations) and assess risk to outgoing quality
•Own and drive compliance to Micron’s non-conforming material business process standards
•Initiate and lead cross-functional MRB (Material Review Board) to conduct risk assessment, gather data, and drive decision on product disposition of non-conforming material
•Partner with fab to drive compliance to customer quality indicators like SPC, WLR, Inline spec limits, and Electrical spec limits
•Partner with fab to drive conversion plans for process changes, ensure compliance to process change standards, assess risk to outgoing quality, ensure right data collection and disposition material appropriately
•Collaborate with Global Quality/PE teams on assessing customer notification (PCN) for planned and unplanned deviations

•Collaborate with Global Customer Quality Engineers to understand customer requirements and drive micron internal efforts on global compliance
•Lead global projects to deploy and improve Quality systems and business processes
•Drive global alignment and continuous improvement efforts leveraging Failure Mode Effect Analysis(FMEA) and 8D processes

•Drive validation of 8D - Root cause, CA/PA and Manufacturing improvements for Quality events
•Drive and implement SBL (Statistical Bin Limit)/PAT (Part Average Testing) Strategies to ensure highest quality outgoing

 

Education/Experience/Skills
•M.S. or its equivalent (B.S. and 5 years’ relevant experience) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

•Strong communication in English, both verbal and written
•Proficient in semiconductor device physics

•Working experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software

•Strong in statistical data analysis methods
•Proficient in electrical and physical failure analysis of semiconductors
•Knowledge of probe/parametric tests and analysis of semiconductors
•Strong understanding of semiconductor memory products and reliability testing
•Proficient in semiconductor reliability failure models and qualification strategies

•Knowledge of FMEA, 8D tools is preferred
•Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills

•Experience in a Yield, Process Integration, or Quality engineering role is preferred

•Semiconductor industry experience is preferred.

•Proven ability to work effectively in both an independent role and in team environments
