Operation Improvement Engineer

Role and responsibilities:

  1. Develop, coordinate, maintain, and improve global continue improvement system to achieve targeted Back End operation efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Participate in weekly meeting and discussion with global team for BKM brainstorming and standardization across global site in all programs being deploy for Backend operation.
  3. Analyze, propose, deploy, maintenance and monitoring operation improvement base on department and global priority in development of manufacturing methods and processes, quality, software systems, layout, tool design and capability, cycle time, key tool metrics (availability, utilization, and performance efficiency), maintenance and routine tasks, and other manufacturing support operation.
  4. Learn and understand new system, programming software, industrial engineering concepts, planning strategy, manufacturing practices, engineering requirement and other discipline in deployment of new project carry out.  
  5. Conduct benchmarking study and sharing the BKM at site and global level that the OI group has a strong partnership with other teams.
  6. Provide periodic project updates base on OSIR or project management template outline current and outlook risk as well as propose counter measure to mitigate any project deployment risk.
  7. Support manufacturing execution tools on 24X7 basic and response for resolution as per service level agreement lead time

 

Qualification and Requirements:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or Bachelor of Computer Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in a related technical field. Strong project management is key and added advantages
  2. Proficient with intermediate level in Microsoft Office software and applications including SharePoint, ASP.NET, VB/VBA, RTD, AutoMod, AutoSched AP, Java Script, Angular, Perl, HTML, CSS, SQL, NOSQL, Linux, and APF Formatter.
  3. Added advantages with familiar with Micron applications: CSM, CRM, SAP, MAM, RMS, ETI, ToolView, MTSPC, FDC, DataNav, LPI, MIPC, Tableau, MICAP and LVC.
  4. Knowledge of data structures of software systems such as ERP systems and manufacturing planning and execution system. Direct manufacturing experiences is an added advantage.
  5. In depth technical understanding, especially of Industrial Engineering and scheduling/automation concepts. Good knowledge in inventory management, simulation, optimization, modeling, forecasting, automation, statistics, data mining, and database management.
  6. Ability to lead and participate in cross-area teams, with proven ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally.
  7. Intermediate to advance understanding of Supply Chain Master Data Management principles and practices.
  8. Candidate willing to travel for global benchmarking and training as and when needed.
