Job Description:

Intermediate to Senior level IT Support and Automation Engineer needed to develop, maintain, and support infrastructure for cross-site validation of Micron storage products.  A successful candidate is responsible for the development and support of global DevOps infrastructure.  This will involve working with hardware and software, strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and will probably involve national and international travel.  You will work closely with various Micron teams to support their validation efforts.  Candidates technical skills should include Windows and Linux, Python, Ansible, YAML, and other shell scripting, Git, Bitbucket, Atlassian tools and Jenkins.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows/Linux system administration and or IT Support
  • 5+ years of experience in Python or similar languages
  • Excellent knowledge of computers, servers, and networks
  • 2 years of experience with working with technical teams and customers
  • 2 years of experience with system and software deployment
  • Strong debugging and failure analysis skills

 

Additional Skills:

  • PCIe experience is highly desired
  • NVMe experience is desired
  • Scripting experience with languages such as Python
  • Exposure to the Agile Development Methodology
  • Excellent self-learning and problem-solving skills
  • Team player and good communication skills
  • Experience programming with assembly language
  • Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • You must have strong hands-on problem-solving skills, and you must feel comfortable diving into software layers that are not owned by you
  • Experience with SATA is a bonus
  • Bonus: Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Rundeck, PXE
