SR SSD Technical Program Manager

The SR SSD Technical Program Manager represents manufacturing in the development of new products and manufacturing technologies in support of the new products.  You will be responsible for managing and guiding product prototyping and development activities. 
You will: 
  • Provide product support throughout the entire product lifecycle
    • Act as the manufacturing single point of contact and lead for product development teams.

    • Summarize, communicate and drive solutions to product design and manufacturing issues.

    • Develop and Refine business processes to improve time to market on new products.


  • Product development, product NPI and HVM
    • Coordinate product builds to support internal development programs.

    • Participate in Design reviews

    • Coordinate Manufacturing Feasibility Review

    • Hold Weekly Manufacturing Meetings to support Prototyping and development builds

    • Review Prototyping reports and summarizes readiness status

    • Perform design reviews and provide DFM feedback


  • Product NPI
    • Lead Manufacturing Validation Run (MVR), Pilot Build, Pre-Production Build, and Reports/Phase Reviews for each

    • Product Proliferation - both internally and externally to Micron

    • Publish process transfer expectations and schedule, and coordinate efforts among manufacturing functional groups.

    • Work with local and global manufacturing teams, Production, Planning, QA, Business units, etc., to transfer products between worldwide manufacturing sites.


  • HVM
    • Assist in analyzing and troubleshooting any product, process or quality issues related to the production of products to ensure the overall efficiency and quality of operations.  Communicate with internal and external customers regarding RMAs, MRBs, etc. and coordinate related product improvements



You will have: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in surface mount technology manufacturing.  
  • Experience in Product Engineering, Project Management, Program Management, Subcon Management.
  • Experienced in or knowledge of surface mount manufacturing and assembly operations required. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal, relationship and team-building skills.
  • The ability to work, interface, and communicate with a wide variety of people and groups in different areas of Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Product Engineering, Design, QA, Supply Chain.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and risk analysis methods.
  • A high level of self-motivation, self-directed, goal-oriented and multi-tasking skills.
  • The ability to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
