Job Summary and Description:

As a Process Integration Engineer Intern, you are responsible, but are not limited to:


  • Completing all required safety training and conducting all work in accordance with Micron safety policies
  • Formulating theoretical explanations and models to problems based on scientific principles
  • Collaborating with other teams to improve yield and reliability
  • Conducting industry wide research in scientific journals on semiconductor topics
  • Ensuring projects are handled properly and driven to completion
  • Establishing challenging goals to support integration of new technology nodes
  • Designing and evaluating experiments to optimize part operation
  • Understanding technology challenges and process changes for new parts and their impact on devices
  • Collaborating with part type owners to ensure successful qualification of derivative part types
  • Monitoring electrical performance and product yields
  • Partnering with stakeholders to determine root cause of specific yield issue
  • Communicating with stakeholders to drive critical part test yield and reliability projects
  • Troubleshooting and solving device-related issues by analyzing data
  • Defining and analyzing fabrication experiments related to device issues
  • Co-monitoring key module-specific statistical process control charts for all parts (with module owners and leads) to determine impact of excursions
  • Reducing costs via process simplification, reduction of test wafers, etc.
  • Participating in focus meetings when needed for major conversions/excursions with the project




  • Proven ability to communicate and present technical material effectively
  • Intermediate knowledge of probe, backend, and reliability
  • Advanced understanding of SPC principles
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office
  • Advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects
  • Demonstrated strong partnering and team building skills
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes
  • Strong understanding of structural and process integration
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize the process flow
  • Advanced understanding of basic device physics in deciphering parametric data
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve device related issues
  • Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills


Education and Experience:  Must be pursuing B.S. degree in an engineering or related discipline or a M.S. in Electrical, Electronics, or Materials Engineering or related discipline. Must have a graduation date for December 2021, or later.
