Micron is transforming our portfolio with cutting edge 3D Managed NAND.  We are looking for a highly capable, proven Director of Device Engineering to set the direction of our device domain in this highly visible and influential role.

Responsibilities and Duties: List the essential duties required to carry out this job.


  • Guided by Micron’s overall company strategy,this position guides, governs and leads critical device validation testing.
  • Sets direction for Device Engineering in our global device domain.
  • Develops anddrives Read Window Budget and Key 3D NAND device performance and reliability metrics from concept to first silicon through qualification.
  • Collaborates closely with Micron’s global device, design, process and system teams.
  • Directly manages a device engineering teams globally.
  • Serves as an internal thought leader in device engineering.
  • Leads the development of programs that are critical to Micron and ensures execution of the function.
  • Ensures programs are aligned with customers’ current and future needs and expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to make decisions that significantly impact the future success of Micron and our ability to compete.
  • Experience influencing significant global strategic and operational impact.
  • Experience applying broad knowledge of business to set strategy for a function, sub-function or site.
  • Significant experience with leading edge NAND Flash and advanced non-volatile storage
  • Proven ability to handles highly sensitive communication and negotiation with external parties.
  • Travel Required:  50%
