Job Description

The ASIC Packaging Technical Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for all aspects of program package design and assembly packaging execution, driving overall on-time schedule and maintaining the tops-down and bottoms-up tracking of program status against plan. Their scope is from ASIC design readiness to ASIC qualification and release into high-volume-manufacturing. They will partner with the ASIC Package Design, Assembly Packaging operations team, & Product Development Teams (PDT). The ASIC Package TPM identifies gaps in the program which may require additional focus, closely working with all stakeholders and escalating potential gaps. The ASIC Package TPM’s scope includes schedules, costs, resources, scope control, risks, dependencies, and communication to the team and stakeholder management. Job responsibilities include: communicating package design and assembly package program updates to PDT, driving discussions in appropriate forums to ensure the key issues of the programs are being reviewed, discussed and dispositioned. Developing a comprehensive plan for the execution of the project, and driving key contributing groups. Working with package design, assembly packaging operations team, product operations management, procurement, test/product engineering, fab/foundry operations, to ensure that there is alignment on all vectors, including quality goals, package cost goals, and schedule. Setting realistic execution targets to communicate to internal and external stakeholders; working with Business owners to communicate them effectively. Ensuring the right level of resourcing is available for the project, both in terms of skillsets and headcount, and working with functional leadership and group GMs to ensure adequate staffing.


  • The applicant should have a BS degree or higher in EE, CE or CS, with 15+ years of meaningful experience.
  • Strong influencing and stake holder management skills - Excellent executive communication skills
  • Solid track record of collaboration and building and strengthening partnerships
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and work effectively with a team
  • Must have direct people management experience and experience managing budgets.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
