Job Responsibilities

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) team at Micron is looking for a multifaceted and motivated individual for the role of the Demand Management Specialist/Analyst. The role is an opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize his or her analytical, business and process/project management skills to monitor, analyze and improve the quality of forecasts that drive Micron’s Supply Chain activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, performing quality checks, monitoring demand forecasts and related inputs. You will learn a lot about the demand side of the semiconductor industry by uploading, updating and distributing demand changes to all the required stakeholders. You will prepare reports, monitor the demand signal, track forecast accuracy and communicate exception lists that are needed to the operations of Micron.

You will play an active role in the overall Demand Management Solutions deployment where you will be a go-to-expert for demand management related activities including in UAT (User-Acceptance Testing), validating & analyzing data, working with IT on system issues and ensure resolutions are acquired, conducting training to cross-functional teams, etc.

In addition, you will collaborate with teams through positive relationship and co-ownership in achieving overall company and GSC Performance Indicators, including Demand Management related metrics, while consistently evaluating opportunities and supporting process updates to improve overall performance. The Demand Management team interfaces actively with various teams in Micron, including teams from Sales, Marketing, NPI, IT, Data Science, Global Supply Chains, Order Promising, Order Management (Customer Sales Support & Order Fulfillments), Backend planning and Finished Goods.

Requirements

  • A high level of amenity in working with numbers with advance data analytics knowledge and skills will be optional plus
  • Problem-solving – use appropriate knowledge, including outstanding excel skills and other tools (Tableau, R, SQL, HANA, RPA, etc.) and methods to report exceptions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation and PowerPoint skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with multi-functional teams and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives along with day-to-day business operations will be a plus.
  • A fast, detail-focused individual who can come up to speed quickly on the overall supply chain and several detailed processes. Possess the experience and capability to train others on these same detailed processes
    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in the field of Industrial Engineering, analytics or statistics APICS Certification will be an added advantage
