Senior Physical Design Engineer

In this role as a Principal Physical Design Engineer in Micron’s Non-Volatile Engineering Group, you will be responsible for crafting next generation products for Micron using the newest technology. You will also work with design teams across various subject areas in helping developing a robust design practices for predictable and accelerated sign-off

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Hands-on closure of Partition level/subchip level/subsystem level P&R
  • Create differentiated methods/flows to drive TAT/PPAS.
  • Highly multi-tasking
  • Fully aware of sub-nanometer timing closure issues
  • Can go in to design architecture exploration if need be to close timing
  • Has experience with designs running at over 1GHz with deep datapath depth
  • Ability to gel with an energetic team and mentor junior engineers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Engineering in E&C/Electrical/Computer Science
  • A minimum with 5-8 years of strong physical design experience
  • A deep understanding of sub-nanometer flows (<7nm)
  • Proficient in timing constraints, physical constraints
  • Proficient in handling EDA tools across stages of P&R
  • Proficient with Synopys/Cadence/Mentor (any, one is required) EDA tools for P&R, STA, PV
  • Proficiency in Tcl, Perl to write programs and scripts
  • Excellent analytical and debug skills
  • Has shown ability to collaborate in a multi-functional environment, cross-site or cross-time zone
