Cyber security measures are increasingly important as cyber-attacks continue to proliferate.  Identity and Access Governance plays a critical role within Cyber Security in protecting systems and applications.  For more than 42 years, Micron’s teams of dreamers, visionaries, and scientists have redefined innovation—designing and building some of the world’s most advanced memory and semiconductor technologies.


Micron’s Global Security Organization (GSO) team is focused on enabling company success with the delivery of high business value. We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our team working shoulder-to-shoulder with Micron's IAM team within several Identity and Access Management disciplines. Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Identification of data locations and data owners within business area teams
  • Expand DAC process (Data Access Control) to new business areas, sites, and CoP members
  • Support stale and inactive data archival process
  • Use CoP-defined archival threshold and criteria to identify stale data
  • Work with CoP team and data owners to get approval to archive stale data
  • Work with storage team to submit archival request
  • Support DAC broad permission removal process
  • Identify folders/sites with broad permissions
  • Gather historical access data and existing permissions on given folder/site
  • Get recommended permissions and approval from data owners
  • Work with Windows Team to submit permission change request
  • Refine DAC process
  • Configure and maintain rules as part of Data Access Control (DAC) process in DatAlert module
  • Support incident response team with security event investigation on as-needed basis
  • Review alerts to identify false positives and fine tune existing rules
  • Daily/weekly/monthly/ad-hoc reports on stale data, access related activities, etc.
  • Data Classification Engine (DCE) rule creation, tuning and maintenance
  • Work with IPP and CoP teams to configure content-based scans on filers and SharePoint environment
  • Produce executive and leadership level status reports
  • Actively analyzes, meets with and develops use cases / user stories for business, security and compliance needs.
  • Supports process to regularly review and maintain backlog for technical feasibility, reusability, essential business need, supportability and priority.
  • Capable of working with development teams locally and globally. 



Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5-12 years of experience working and 3-5 years of Varonis or related technology experience.
  • Functional understanding of IAM capabilities, intersection with other cyber security domains, products, vendors and industry practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Fluent in Agile methodology and [Jira / Azure DevOps / other Agile management tool], including feature, epic and story development, backlog grooming.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
