Job Description
As an IT Process Manager at Micron Technology, you are responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing tactics for streamlining, and continually improving activities related to the processes that you manage. You will cultivate a culture of quality by managing key process performance, linking process performance to strategy, and ensuring consistent execution. You will keep stakeholders involved, communicate necessary process and procedural changes to team members who perform process functions, and support behaviors that contribute to sustaining improvements.   

Responsibilities and Tasks
Measure and report on process performance. 
    • Update and report process metrics to stakeholders. 
    • Determine and provide metrics and status reports for management and stakeholder review. 
Manage process and procedure improvements and promote process health. 
    • Coordinate or lead process design teams. 
    • Solicit process feedback from stakeholders. 
    • Track, evaluate, and drive process improvements and concerns. 
Collaborate with appropriate teams to produce process materials. 
    • Collaborate with appropriate teams to determine the best way to provide process changes and enhancements to the affected team members. 
    • Participate in the development of process training documentation and media. 
    • Create Process Best Practices and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). 
    • Create and maintain process web sites. 
Drive behaviors that ensure process adoption and compliance. 
    • Present and explain the process in operational and team meetings. 
    • Be the consultant and subject matter expert (SME) for the process and tool usage. 
    • Monitor and correct process non-compliance. 
    • Train and mentor process users, stakeholders, and practitioners. 
    • Ensure process compliance to internal and external auditors to meet regulatory compliance. 
Evaluate tools necessary to execute the process. 
    • Conduct User Acceptance Testing for tool changes and upgrades. 
    • Recommend tool changes necessary to accommodate the process. 
    • Evaluate tool change recommendations made by users and stakeholders. 
Participate in Creative and Innovative Thinking 
    • Sees old problems in new ways and has novel approaches to solving those problems. 
    • Contributes original and resourceful ideas in brainstorming session. 
    • Connects seemingly unrelated ideas, events, and circumstances to find global solutions to individual problems. 
    • Generates unique but workable and useful solutions to difficult problems. 
    • Thinks in terms of desired outcomes, not just reactive, quick solutions. Finds ways to turn the ideal into reality. Experiments with new ideas, methodologies, and procedures. 
    • Visualizes potential problems and solutions without needing tangible, “real-life” examples. Can discuss and project the aspects and impacts of issues and decisions. 
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
•    Computer Information Systems    
•    Information Technology
•    Computer Science
•    Business
•    Related field of study


1 year experience in any of the following: 
• Working in an IT organization     
• Working with ITIL or equivalent framework     
1 year experience in any of the following: 
• Project Management     
• Supervisory experience     
• Service management or service delivery     
• Generating and analyzing metrics 
• Experience with BMC Remedy ITSM 
• Experience with BMC Remedy Atrium 
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience with SQL Reporting Tools
•    The capability to handle sensitive and complex issues with discretion and good judgment.     
•    The ability to work within timeframes.     
•    The ability to work with minimal guidance. 
•    The ability to influence without authority
