We are looking for a hardworking, driven, trailblazer to be part of our Information Technology team. As an IT PMO Techno-Functional Analyst at Micron, you are joining an upbeat team in a top semiconductor company rapidly growing into India. You will play a key role in the IT PMO at Micron with a main focus on continuous process improvement supporting business innovation. You will work towards evolving IT's portfolio management thru effective and efficient processes and development of key measurements; including leading indicators and eliminating unnecessary metrics. You will provide industry intelligence in support of initiatives for our IT roadmap and collaborate on strategic solutions with partners.

Responsibilities and Tasks 

Gather and formalize business requirements. 

  • Identify partners impacted by change.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify business requirements, vetting against the scope of the initiative.
  • Validate requirements with representatives who will be affected by the business process or change and receive sign off from the partners.
  • Collaborate with implementation team (including Area Architects, Software Engineers/Analysts, etc.) to figure out the best IT solution for identified business problems, including to develop estimates of efforts for proposed system changes.
  • Document (business rules, as is/to be flows, requirements, data configuration, use cases, functional specs, and testing forms).
  • Facilitate teamwork between affected groups to gain acceptance of the process changes and complete work you're leading by due dates 

Configure applicable system changes.

  • Analyze existing system functionality and business processes to identify gaps to business needs and design valued, efficient solutions that function to support customer requirements.
  • Validate configuration changes meet customers’ requirements without negatively impacting existing functionality.
  • Identify and/or enter data needed in development and test environments.
  • Document system configuration changes.
  • Perform Release Manager/Champion responsibilities as needed.
  • Conduct research on software functionality and changes.
  • Collaborate with business group members to ensure the full end-to-end business process will function and meet business requirements within the project scope.

Champion system testing.

  • Build, communicate, and coordinate test plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance, regression, security, etc.).
  • Perform the role of Tester or Test Manager as needed. Lead Issue Analysis to confirm defects.
  • Confirm system functionalities in the production environment.

Deliver training and mentoring.

  • Work with the IT and/or Business Training Team representative to build training materials (procedures, manuals, recordings, instructor-led training, training plans, FAQs, etc.) to facilitate the end users’ application of skills and knowledge in the workplace.
  • Train customers, support teams, and the business on system changes, new functionality, new process, etc.
  • Mentor others on analyst activities.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to provide early life support for initiatives, taking ownership for transitioning all appropriate information to teams responsible for long term system health and supportability.

Support service management.

  • Engage with business partners to define and detail out Accountable, Responsible, Consulted, Informed (ARCI), Business Processes, and effective reporting and tracking metrics.
  • Champion system support documentation quality.
  • Recommend improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes and operational procedures.
  • Participate in service assessments by crafting metric catalog entries, reviewing data compliance, and defining standards.
  • Analyze reports to define, raise, and resolve risks.

Provide customer support.

  • Solve issues on supported products within IT PMO domain.
  • Provide mentorship for the support teams by building knowledge articles, process and procedure documentation, and training materials.
  • Participate in the on-call support rotation, as needed, and provide critical issue support.

 

Education 

Required 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in one of the following: 

  • Computer Science 

  • Information Technology 

  • Business Information Systems 

 

Experience and Qualifications 

Required 

5+ years’ experience in the following: 

  • Information Systems/Technology 

  • Project Management Office processes (portfolio, program, project) 

  • Agile Project Management 

  • Microsoft Project Server Administration 

  • Functional design and tools (Balsamiq, etc.) 

  • Defining process metrics (leading and lagging) and implementing those metrics 

  • Use of query languages (sql, jaql, embedded sql) 

  • Data analytics and tools (PowerBI, MySQL, SQL Server Management Tableau) 

  • Process automation and workflow tools (K2, MS Flow, PowerApps, Sharepoint Designer, etc.) 

  • Use of Sharepoint and configuring sites 

  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum, XP, Kanban/Scrumban, and Lean practices and tools (JIRA / TFS or similar work management tools) 

  • Use of collaboration tools (Confluence / MS Teams or similar) 

  • Working in a cross functional setting with Offshore and Onshore resources 

  • Strong facilitation, consensus building, conflict resolution, negotiation and leadership skills
