Senior/Principle Engineer Yield Enhancement Operations Central Team

The position is part of Micron’s front-end operations central team (OCT PIE). You will be part of the Yield Enhancement (YE) group, which is responsible to ensure all Micron manufacturing sites have world class yield analytics in place. You will collaborate with R&D, IT, external partners and vendors to define and establish best-in-class methods regarding yield analysis, electrical and physical failure analysis (EFA/PFA) as well as high-volume data analytics (data-mining).You will work with individual manufacturing sites across US, Taiwan, Singapore and Japan to continuously evolve and enhance best practices. You will be responsible to implement new methodologies and to support yield ramping of new memory technologies to meet the market volatility.


Required qualifications:

-       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science

-       Minimum of 5 years experience in yield analysis or related statistical method application.

-       Good understanding of statistical methods to analyze product/yield and JMP analytic tools.

-       Understanding of advanced technology semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes (NAND and DRAM)

-       Good communication skills in English

-       Strong cross-functional leadership skills

-       Very independent, self driven and results oriented

Additional qualifications that are desired:

-        Understanding of design and testing of semiconductor products, especially memory

-        Experience with application of big data systems to yield analytics (e.g. usage of Hadoop)


Workplace:  Position will require extensive travel.  Home location is preferred to be at Asia manufacturing site.
