As Senior Manager/Manager of Global Facilities Sustainability Program, you will be an integral member of the Global Facilities Innovation and Integration Group responsible for sourcing and implementing renewable energy Power Purchase Agreement(PPA) to meet Micron’s Sustainability goals. You will also assist the team to organizational effectiveness and developing the Sustainability execution plan (including Network coordination). 

In this role you will need to work closely with Teams from Global and Site Facilities, Global EHS, Global Procurement, Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Manufacturing Central Team, as well as external industry agencies and consultants to fulfill the position and group responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the identification, creation, development, negotiation, and execution of opportunities to secure new cost competitive sources of Renewable Energy(RE) in regions with Micron’s operations
  • Develop and grow relationships with key RE suppliers, developers, regulators, and other stakeholders for long term benefits
  • Comprehend the regulations on RE in regions of Micron’s operations
  • Develop a roadmap and support continued evolution and execution of Micron’s renewable energy supply strategy to drive the success of Micron’s Sustainability programs in alignment with the long-term Sustainability strategy
  • Collaborate with internal organizations including sustainability, procurement, legal, tax, engineering, and finance to implement supply solutions
  • Stay informed of the technical, market, and regulatory developments in the renewable energy industry and communicate key trends, risks and potential impacts to management
  • Take an active role in regulatory processes and influence the design of new clean and renewable energy supply solutions offered by utilities and other suppliers
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10 to 20 % at times)
  • Prepare executive reports, communications, and training on Micron's RE performance, support internal and external inquiries concerning sustainability issues

  • Plan and schedule program timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

 

Education

Required:    Bachelor's degree in a business, sustainability, corporate responsibility, engineering or related field

Desired:      Certification in Energy Management, Sustainability, Engineering or related field of study

 

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in developing, acquiring, performing due diligence, and negotiating definitive agreements for utility scale renewable energy solutions including wind, solar and storage projects
  • 5+ years’ experience in sustainability and environmental engineering fields
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders and consultants
  • Strong interpersonal skill set, ensuring clear and sound communication
  • Capable of compiling executive level reports and presentation materials
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Program and project management experience  

 

Additional advantages:

  • Experience in Taiwan and Japan Renewable Energy market and environmental sustainability reporting
  • Experience working with detailed financial models of renewable energy projects, identifying key risks and sensitivities, and leading all related due diligence efforts (financial, commercial, technical, development)
  • Experience in electrical grid interconnection processes
