As a Global Japan Learning and Development Specialist at Micron, you will provide support to multiple sites in Japan regarding training and development programs, systems, compliance, and strategy. Your responsibilities will include support of performance management, as well as the implementation, and evaluation of global training programs. As a part of the Global Japan Learning and Development team, you may also facilitate company orientation, maintain training records, materials, and forms, instruct classes and workshops as needed, and assist in the presentation of material for different initiatives. You can expect to process training requests, conduct needs analyses, and determine alignment with the business needs of the organization. In this role, you will identify deliverables, establish timelines and the allocation of resources, and conduct evaluation measures to determine effectiveness.





  1. Provide Training, Development and Education Solutions

   - Identify problems, opportunities, and potential solutions

   - Perform needs analysis on requests or business opportunities

   - Design solution to meet needs

   - Develop solutions to meet design requirements

   - Implement solutions

   - Evaluate solution effectiveness and make appropriate adjustments

   - Provide Instruction, facilitation, or presentations


  1. Develop, Govern, and Administer Processes and Systems

   - Administer and manage systems for supporting training, development, and education

   - Establish and apply standards for learning and development procedures

   - Identify and report on critical metrics (readiness and training completion reports)

   - Create and maintain Learning Management System (LMS) records

   - Define and document business processes to provide development solutions


  1. Provide Learning and Development Consultation and Expertise

   - Act as a consultant or liaison to customers

   - Provide information regarding existing training materials and documentation

   - Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts

   - Collaborate across the HR network to optimize department strategies

   - Build and maintain global learning communities and networks

   - Maintain domain specific knowledge

   - Mentor learning and development colleagues on relevant processes and systems


  1. Lead and Participate in Projects

   - Perform needs analysis on support requests or projects

   - Participate in project definition

   - Execute to project plan

   - Escalate risks and issues

   - Communicate project status and goals with stakeholders

   - Evaluate project effectiveness


  1. Create and Enable e-Learning Solutions

   - Identify system functionality and requirements

   - Determine types of e-Learning and delivery requirements


Necessary Experience


Bachelor's degree acquirer or related experience

Preferable that you have experience of trainers



Be able to conduct training in Japanese

Ability to communicate well with junior - senior level employees

Business level English, Native level Japanese



Work experience in the human resources department

At least 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development areas, or talent management / development

Experience with leadership training: planning, creating, implementing and delivering
