Job Description

The Team Member Advocate will provide 1:1 team member advocacy and coaching support in multidisciplinary well-being topics, career mentoring, personal and professional development, and support and referrals in mental health and employee relation services. Additional duties involve promotion of initiatives for wellness, culture and engagement, diversity and employee relations programs to cultivate a meaningful team member experience at Micron.

  • You will be providing confidential consultation to team members who need support in wellbeing topics or who have workplace concerns. You will deliver appropriate mentorship feedback and referrals, in alignment with Micron and community resources in a positive way.
  • You will foster an encouraging work environment by serving as a positive face at site activities and site engagement events to support team member social connections.
  • You will enable enhanced team member wellbeing. You will bring awareness to health and wellbeing resources provided by Micron and in the community.
  • You will support team members with career counseling and serve as an extension of Reach conversations.
  • You will receive workplace concerns and assess if situation requires escalation or referral for additional resources. You will help to interpret workplace policies.
  • You will integrate people-related programs in areas of wellbeing, performance, diversity, learning and development, and workplace policies at the individual level. You have a comprehensive understanding of all people programs.
  • You will keep abreast of current workplace trends and world and community events that impact personal wellbeing.
  • You have the ability to speak to all levels of leadership and large groups. You will facilitate information tables, classes, and presentations on advocacy and mentoring topics to grow site-level awareness and impact. You will drive team member engagement by building opportunities to interact with team members at each site.
  • You will serve as a connection point between team members and other internal and external Micron resources. You will support team members via Skype, phone, text and in person as determined by the individual.
  • You will develop and execute an effective marketing and communications campaign to ensure team members are aware of existing programs, resources and opportunities.
  • You will track your interactions data to identify trends and potential workplace interventions. You will provide feedback and suggestions to leadership.
  • You will solicit feedback from team members and leaders to ensure programs and offerings are meeting their needs.


  • 5 years in corporate wellness, behavioral health, career counseling or organizational change management.
  • Fluent Japanese & English capability.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Bachelor’s Science Degree in wellness, organizational psychology, health sciences,
  • Preferred Certifications: Career coaching, leadership coaching, or life coaching.
  • Experience in multinational company and tech industry preferred.
  • Ability to travel within region.


  • Hashimoto or Hiroshima, depending on candidate's preference
