Marketing Program Manager


Micron, a world leader in memory technology, is hiring an experienced Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies intended to increase revenue in our growing distribution segment. Strategies could include both business and technical aspects of driving business around our diverse product lines (NOR/NAND/SRAM/DRAM/SSDs/Memory Modules). This position will work closely with sales, field application and marketing organizations across Micron. Externally, this position will aid in the deployment of key programs with worldwide distributors and manufactures rep firms selling Micron products.


Job Responsibilities:


- Develop, manage  and execute  worldwide marketing strategies/projects for the purpose of driving business through our distribution channels

- Develop, publish and improve our distribution roadmap process

- Ensure distributor alignment with Micron product/solutions roadmap, pricing and schedules with our distributor businesses

- Analyze market and technology trends for the purpose of identifying gaps in our business strategies

- Identify new business opportunities in focused segments/new product introductions and drive plan through distributors

- Developing business cases and drive decisions for new business opportunities

- Create or drive the development of key collateral, tools and training materials to help influence the use of Micron products

- Compile, analyze and publish data to be used to track success indicators and determine directional changes in strategies

- Drive resolving business and technical issues that inhibit our distributor needs

- Assist in planning and participating with the Regional Distributor teams for Corporate Trade Shows and Field Marketing Programs

- Drive Enabler attachment programs to map out Micron approved reference designs, development boards, and create collateral for the distributor teams

- Identify Ease of Doing Business gaps and collaborate internally to raise visibility and drive solutions

- Identify Best Practices and drive programs that result in increased Sales and profitability through Distribution


Abilities and Skills:



- Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and customers

- Ability to do product positioning, competitive assessments, pricing and financial analysis

- A proven track record in developing/driving/implementing marketing strategies and programs

- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to be able to energize and influence both Micron and distributor sales teams

- Strong presentation skills

- Strong data analytics capability and talent to use data to solve problems and influence changes

- An outgoing, self-driven, energetic personality

- Highly computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc), PowerPoint and Word


Nice to Have:

- The ability to condense business and technical concepts into marketable, customer consumable benefits

- An understanding of the global industry network (enablers, OEMs, ODMs, sales channels)

- The willingness to travel domestic and internationally if necessary


Experience and Education:



- BS/BA degree in Engineering (Electronics, Computer Engineering, Communications


- Worked in the semiconductors or other electronics industries for 3-4 years

- Experience working in other regions outside of the USA


Nice to Have:

- Experience working with memory technologies
