Job Description

As an Equipment Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing full maintenance support on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and associated test equipment. This work includes unscheduled maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance. It also includes repairing malfunctioning testers, system troubleshooting, identifying the malfunctioning equipment, procuring repair parts, calibrating the system if necessary and returning the tester to full capability. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all engineering interface systems including mechanical fixtures, probe cards, device

interface boards and sockets. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting schematics. You will also be expected to be proficient with hand tools and basic troubleshooting tools including Oscilloscopes and Digital Multi-Meters. Other duties may include calibrating,

maintaining and repairing auxiliary lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, thermostreams, probe stations, etc.


Responsibilities and Tasks

Perform Automated Test Equipment Repair, Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair Engineering Interface


_ Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of ATE

_ Installing and bringing up new or relocated equipment

_ Performing scheduled maintenance of ATE and auxiliary lab equipment

_ Calibrating, maintaining and repairing auxiliary lab equipment

_ Understanding and using Micron’s equipment maintenance systems

_ Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of all engineering interface hardware

_ Assemble, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all PCBs and mechanical fixtures used on the engineering systems

_ Maintain component inventory levels of all items used

_ Maintain working relationships with all internal customers to ensure that the requirements of each project are

understood and their needs are met

_ Analyze process and final product to ensure high quality solutions are delivered on time every time




_ Familiarity with basic semiconductor technology

_ High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and act independently

_ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

_ Excellent organizational skills and outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills

_ Ability to collaborate well with team members and drive for results

_ Strong verbal and written communication skills

_ Soldering skills is a plus



Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Test Equipment support and maintenance
