Job Summary and Description:

Wet Process Engineers in Micron's Manufacturing Development group support the development and transfer of next generation memory technologies from the front line of innovation at a world leading memory and storage solution provider! The team is primarily responsible for improving process quality, working on yield and efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and transferring processes to worldwide manufacturing facilities.


As Wet Process Engineers, we build robust production processes through collaboration and innovation with other Development and Integration teams. We coordinate the qualification of new equipment, equipment upgrades, and new chemistries into the fabrication facility and drive quality and capability improvements in Wet Process. We also facilitate the transfer of new processes to manufacturing sites. This requires daily communication and coordination with technician, engineers, planners, and managers from around the world.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Wet Process Manufacturing Development Engineers must have an Engineering background, experience in semiconductor fab operation, and be familiar with Wet Process.



  • MS or BS in engineering, science, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • Three years of semiconductor engineering experience in Wet Process or related area.
  • Detailed understanding of Wet Process area, including processes, equipment operation, equipment setup, recipe management, automation, and area specific methodologies.
  • Fundamental knowledge semiconductor memory processes and chemistries used in semiconductor manufacturing.

Excellent data analysis, process control and problem-solving skills are also required to be successful in our technical, data driven environment.


  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of SPC, Design of Experiments, and equipment design/operation are required to solve and ultimately improve unit processes and equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting, programming or visualization tools like Python, SQL, Java, Tableau, R, or Matlab is required.
  • Hands on experience of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing is preferred


Periodic travel from Boise, Idaho, to world-wide fabrication facilities may be required.
