To provide a world class customer qualification experience to Micron’s portfolio of Client, Cloud and Enterprise SSDs. As a Technical Customer Manager in Micron’s Storage Business Unit (SBU) you will be chartered with program managing the qualification and support of the company’s target customer base, ensuring excellence in customer qualification planning, execution, support and anticipation of the customers qualification needs.


You will excel in being the primary interface between the customer and engineering/design centers, while developing a long-term relationship with the customer to support streamlined communication and qualification efforts that facilitate products being qualified with maximum efficiency. You will proactively define customer qualification requirements and processes to shape a qualification plan that ensures success, while being the primary contact to communicate customer qualification requirements and status to management, sales and development teams.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Act as the primary contact within Micron for SSD customer qualification status and reporting to CQT management
  • Program manage the qualification of new product introductions (NPI) at targeted customers and their OEM/ODM partners
  • Build trusting customer relationships to ensure all specification, test, documentation, and sample requirements meet customer expectations
  • Definition and execution of customer qualification plans and schedules
  • Drive customer configuration management process
  • Support recurring customer calls, providing status on customer qualification schedules, Micron qualification schedules and milestones
  • Managing customer escalations by driving priorities on issue resolution, closure and corrective action
  • Contribute technical and business input in support of business cases
  • Drive customer change management process and resolution with Micron design teams
  • Support the customer account team strategy throughout the life of the qualified program, including post-release qualification support
  • Educate Micron development and validation teams on the customer qualification process as well as the critical customer requirements


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of storage, preferably Solid State Drives, including interaction with sales, customers, engineers and product development teams
  • Requires knowledge of OEM product qualification processes and a broad-based understanding of the storage industry.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, executive presentation abilities and customer relationship management experience are key requirements
  • A strong, driven personality who can work as an advocate for the customer within the design team
  • Demonstrated business acumen to understand and communicate customer impacts and trade offs
  • Ability / flexibility to work evenings, holidays and weekends as required
  • Ability / flexibility to travel domestically and internationally with short notice as required
  • Able to relay technical information to and from the customer verbally and in writing at a professional level


Education Required:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience is required.
