Supplier Diversity and Responsible Sourcing, Program Manager Job description

 

As a Supplier Diversity and Responsible Sourcing Program Manager at Micron Technology, Inc. you will support Global Procurement’s Supplier Diversity initiatives.  You will work with a cross functional global team to meet deliverables, establish processes and achieve milestones.  The Supplier Diversity Program Manager will act as a supplier advocate, through education, awareness and promotion for both the Micron teams and Supplier community.  Responsible Sourcing responsibilities would include data analyst support and engaging suppliers for required training and requirements.

 Primary job responsibilities

  • Supplier Diversity advocate
  • Have a sense of accountability and help install those values in the team. Use metrics to drive continuous improvement activity
  • Support supplier development activities and partnerships with national, local, and international diverse supplier councils
  • Subject matter expert for Supplier Diversity certification standards and requirements
  • Lead incremental and large-scale process improvement efforts to integrate supplier diversity initiatives into existing business processes
  • Communicate Micron’s new supplier registration and qualification standards to incumbent and potential suppliers
  • Define, design, modify and implement Global Supplier Diversity business systems and processes.
  • Create and maintain trusted relationships with leaders from partner organizations. Solicit feedback on areas of improvement. Collaborate on solutions and prioritize efforts
  • Manage and maintain supplier data relating to Responsible Sourcing objectives; conflict minerals, carbon disclosures, supplier training responses.
    Qualifications
  • Experience leading or directly supporting Supplier Diversity processes and programs
  • Experience leading large-scale projects or programs, working with metrics & analytics, and leading process improvements
  • Understanding of program management standard methodologies
  • Familiarity with Supplier Diversity certification standards and requirements
  • Successful candidates will have knowledge of the semiconductor industry and familiarity with supply chain & procurement processes
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise source systems and systems used to measure and track supplier diversity.
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to influence others using a variety of approaches with or without positional authority
  • Able to break down large concepts into small deliverables with attention to detail while not losing sight of the overall strategy
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Comfort collaborating with Executives and communicating complex concepts in straightforward business terms
  • Ability and willingness to travel, both domestic and international, as needed to support job scope

 

Education

  • BS or BA degree required in a relevant field such as: Business, History, Political Science, Sustainability, Diversity, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering
  • Master’s degree preferred, emphasis in Sustainability
