In this Senior Revenue Accountant position at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be the lead for system reporting for revenue, working closely with the IT department and tasked with redesigning and maintaining reporting to ensure an auditable and efficient close process.  The ideal candidate will have the vision to translate business and finance needs into system capability while providing leadership to see the end solution through to completion. 

 

You will further collaborate with corporate Revenue team members to support internal and external revenue reporting as well as audit requirements. You will work closely with Revenue groups in different sales entities worldwide to drive alignment on revenue policies, processes and procedures and will be involved in identifying and implementing close process improvement projects. 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks (include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for integrity and efficiency of system reporting
  • Lead and participate in system testing related to ERP and distribution systems
  • Perform accounting research and provide consultation
  • Promote statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Lead or participate in process improvements and company initiatives
  • Prepare journal entries and review for accuracy
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly account fluctuations

 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in the following areas:
    Accounting/Finance/Information Systems/BI Reporting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel
  • Experience in various IT systems and reporting; SAP and Model N a plus
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Results oriented
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong focus on accuracy
  • Ability to influence others, build consensus, and resolve conflict
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education:

Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following:  Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Information Systems

Desired:  Master’s Degree in Business Administration / Management. CPA certificate also preferred but not required.
