As a Sr. Finance Systems Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the dissemination of financial data and the development of the analytical tools used to report that data across the various groups. You will measure and present business results against company sponsored key performance indicator (KPI) goals. You will prepare, analyze, and present analysis required to support business decisions. By partnering with various finance and business teams, you will influence business results through financial data reporting as well as combining finance and operational data. The position will need to respond in a timely manner to customer requests and present recommendations for improvements of Micron’s reporting environments. You will enable the measurement of results against corporate strategy critical metrics, industry benchmarks and competitor data. This position will require that reporting is standardized across the company and done so in an efficient manner utilizing the data across multiple platforms.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


Design and Maintain Financial Data Reporting for Finance and Operational teams

  • Identify need, scope, and system resources
  • Design and develop system solutions
  • Validate solutions through stakeholder feedback; modify accordingly
  • Implement and communicate reporting functionality and output
  • Perform continuous process improvements
  • Deliver training to partners as needed


Enable the Measurement of Business Results for the Business Plan, KPI Metrics, and Investment Analysis

  • Build and maintain effective, positive relationships to collaborate with Business Unit partners
  • Implement standardized reporting process to track results against KPI metrics
  • Highlight areas of concern and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Present data summaries and recommendations for process improvements


Prepare, Analyze, and Present Financial and Operational Data

  • Navigate information system applications (SAP HANA, COGNOS, LPI, TM1, Tableau, SQL Server Management, etc.) to collect actual and forecast data to be used in reporting
  • Combine and coordinate multiple sources of dynamic data from Sales, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Units
  • Validate data and report outputs for legitimacy and follow-up for discrepancies


Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of five years of experience with several of the following:

  • Business Intelligence solutions development (Tableau, PowerPlay, TM1, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Data warehousing
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling and process flow mapping
  • Requirements gathering and data validation techniques
  • Finance and/or accounting
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Superb communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related fields of study or equivalent experience
