Sr Manager , Global Stock

As a Senior Manager of Global Stock at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the global management of Micron’s equity program(s).  You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory and corporate policy compliance, as well as the alignment of services to HR strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for supporting and driving continuous improvement for the equity program(s) and assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the program globally.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

Oversee Stock Plan Administration

* Oversee and manage stock plan administration which includes employee transactions, equity pool management, granting and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)

* Maintain program documentation 

* Ensure compliance to current plans 

* Oversee the completion of annual benchmarking activities to ensure program competitiveness

* Collaborate with global HR partners to develop, recommend and implement changes in equity programs, policies and procedures that are consistent with trends in the marketplace and focus on driving and rewarding the Micron values

* Maintain current knowledge of market trends and practices pertaining to the management and administration of equity programs

* Communicate and coordinate program changes with impacted personnel and third-party providers

* Create and provide training to managers and team members regularly

* Identify constraints and process improvement opportunities 

 

Maintain and Oversee Compensation and Equity Data and Systems

* Determine need, design and generate reports both internally and through vendor partners 

* Analyze, interpret and present results to appropriate stakeholders 

* Complete modeling scenarios, develop recommendations and generate evaluation summaries based on data 

* Run, analyze, and distribute standard monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to key stakeholders (internal and external)

* Ensure data integrity in existing systems 

* Define and represent system requirements in support of equity administration

* Provide direction and advice to troubleshoot and correct system errors 

* Receive, evaluate, process and audit data change request and results

* Perform or oversee detailed, global system testing 

* Escalate issues to appropriate party(s) and validate issue resolution

* Provide input and support to the definition of global service metrics

 

Govern Programs and Policies and Ensure Regulatory Compliance

* Provide leadership and expertise regarding the design, development, and implementation of equity programs and services

* Collaborate with the stock team, compensation leaders and other global partners to deploy and maintain the global equity program

* Maintain knowledge of equity regulations including; SOX, Frank-Dodd Act, SEC and global equity tax regulations

* Collaborate with internal and external auditors, tax, legal, finance and payroll teams to ensure global compliance

* Identify liabilities and recommend and implement solutions

* Establish and maintain audit, compliance and control procedures 

* Train and develop team to understand and perform documented controls 

 

Manage Vendor Relationships

* Manage day to day interactions and ensure service level agreements are met, including compliance to Micron policy 

* Provide feedback and training to vendors 

* Ensure on-going communication with vendor for continual process improvements

* Evaluate and optimize current vendor service cost and performance

* Work with vendor relationship manager to develop contracts, negotiate or settle contract disputes

 

Projects

* Represent the global equity program as the subject matter expert on any projects related to equity

* Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations to corporate activities teams in support of acquisitions and divestitures

* Participate on corporate proxy team as the subject matter expert for equity and provide necessary data and other inputs for publication

* Assist in the preparation of materials for executive leadership and compensation committee meetings

 

Management and Development of Stock Team

* Distribute work and learning opportunities in support of the equity program

* Prioritize work, remove barriers, and drive for accountability

* Coach, mentor and provide direction, advice, perspective and expertise to assist in problem resolution and continued team development

 

 

Education

 

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

* Human Resources Management

* Related field of study

 

Preferred

Master’s Degree

* Human Resources Management

* Related field of study

Certified Equity Professional (CEP)

 

Experience

 

Required

* Eight years of stock administration experience in a global, publicly traded company

* Five years of management experience

* Knowledge of equity-related accounting, tax, and legal concepts

* Strong attention to detail

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* Strong customer service approach

* Strong organizational and prioritization skills

* Ability to review/analyze data; highly proficient with spreadsheets
