Job Description:


This is a senior position within the Supply Chain IT Solutions organization supporting planning and execution systems powering Micron’s multi-billion-dollar semiconductor supply chain. This position drives solution architecture with our “internal consulting” team of IT specialists tasked with using technology and process innovations to improve Micron’s end-to-end supply chain. This team is on the front line, taking on the latest business challenges, framing solution options and ultimately partnering with Global Supply Chain business teams for implementation and realization. The ideal candidate will have the vision to translate business need into system capability while providing leadership to see solutions through to delivery.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as primary internal consultant and vision leader within Supply Chain IT demonstrating advanced supply planning capabilities and operations planning preferred practices
  • Provide expert architectural, functional and process guidance on approach and capabilities
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Planning leadership to understand capability needs and to improve the overall efficiency of planning teams
  • Ability to deliver large scale, high-value projects within an established delivery methodology
  • Work within multi-functional teams (Operations areas, IT, PMO) to drive successful deployments
  • Lead and execute a multi-year supply chain capabilities roadmap


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Operations Research preferred. A combination of Bachelor’s degree and relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree
  • 8+ years of related IT or Supply Chain planning and expert level proficiency in Blue yonder ESP capabilities
  • End-to-end experience in implementation of BY Enterprise Supply Planning in a solution architect or similar capacity
  • Experience architecting, designing and implementing a robust data model and integration framework between ERP systems such as SAP ECC/APO, Oracle, BAAN with Blue Yonder ESP Modules with deep expertise into LPOPT or Deep tree
  • Strong business analysis skills, understanding and usage of statistical algorithms, inventory optimization concepts, awareness of tactical planning on overall supply chain required
  • Ability to partner with Global Supply Chain leaders in Micron and understanding the business problems and develop a long term system solutions strategy and subsequently work with relevant stakeholders in drawing a IT solutions road map for Global Supply Chain processes
  • Should possess deep industry knowledge with respect to high tech industries and Semiconductor back ground is highly preferable
  • Strong domain knowledge to understand how the applications within area of focus can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes
  • Ability to prepare and deliver design proposals to user, management and executive levels
  • Able to ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints
  • Lead the project team to design and develop functional specifications for future portfolio projects and change requests
  • Extra points if candidates have knowledge of multiple supply chain applications that cover realms such as Order Promiser, Inventory Optimization, Demand Planning, etc.
  • Understanding requirements from the Global Supply Chain teams, and interpreting them to BY ESP (or other applications) as per functional capabilities
  • Solution Architect should be comfortable in collaborating closely with business teams frequently and also being part of supply chain decision making processes
  • Candidate will be responsible for project/change request proposals, documentation, high level testing criteria
  • Experienced in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners and consultant
  • Experience of leading and Managing project teams comprising of business analyst, developers and system administrators across geographies
  • Good interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation)
