Job Description:

The Software Engineer for Technology Development (TD) at Micron Technology, Inc. is responsible for administering, developing, maintaining, and configuring customer interfaces as part of department specific functionality. Functionality includes business process automation, workflows, configuring dashboards and reporting, document control and collaboration primarily through Microsoft tools and identity and access management solutions. Establishing and implementing processes and procedures for maintaining effective and secure storage is core to this role.

This role works with department subject matter experts to enable business needs through use of IT supported infrastructure and platforms. The Software Engineer works with the TD customer in mind to provide effective and sustainable solutions with up to date documentation, training materials, training sessions and superior customer support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:

  • Maintain a positive attitude toward your role, Micron and its policies
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with team members from different disciplines and departments, strong day to day team working skills
  • Plan, drive and complete complex efforts and projects on time and effectively
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes
  • Experienced strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with user interaction and visual design techniques
  • Experience in designing and developing web and mobile compatible web user interfaces
  • Solid understanding of technical interoperability in a technology stack with understanding and/or hands-on experience in application administration
  • Knowledge of Web coding standards, security standards and multi-browser compatibilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks, incorporating department priorities
  • Accomplished at continuous learning, self-improvement, and change management procedures to meet evolving role demands
  • Successful experience in navigating cross-functional TD or enterprise groups and possess the ability to manage constructive conflict with individuals, teams or leaders
  • Adapts and thrives in high pressure, dynamically changing environments
  • Handles ambiguity and make decisions and recommendations with limited data
  • Ability to lead without authority and possess fluid skills to influence others

Required Skills

  • Experience with secure coding standards, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, JQuery, CSS, and C# / VB is a plus
  • Experience with Bootstrap, JSON, NodeJS, RESTful web services
  • Experience with Active Directory and MTGroups preferred
  • Microsoft Power Platform, PowerShell, SPFX, .NET framework, MS SQL and O365 including SharePoint administration experience


  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or meaningful professional experience
