Micron is looking for experienced software engineers that have the ability to apply the appropriate technology to solve complex software and computer vision problems.  A successful candidate can demonstrate the use of multiple languages, frameworks and disciplines.  You will be encouraged to experiment with new technologies and must focus on continual learning of the ongoing evolution of software engineering and computer vision.

As an engineer in the Technology Development Engineering Solutions group you will have the opportunity to work on a broad set of technologies and solutions to enable Micron’s innovation.  The Technology Development Engineering Solutions group is hiring positions focused on software solutions in the following category:


Advanced Image processing and analysis – Create innovative solutions applying a variety of computer vision, image processing and machine learning techniques to analyze images, perform calculations and determine measurements.

The customers for your solutions cross the entire breadth of Micron’s engineering disciplines focused on yield and technology development.  You will be encouraged to work directly with engineers focused on defect analysis, electrical failure, process development, and other diagnostic solutions in development of solutions that improve efficiency as well as innovation using the newest technologies.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified candidates will have solid communication, leadership, problem solving skills and experience in working in a global team environment.  Candidates should have demonstrated organizational and project management skills, technical direction, and vision. 
  • Customer focus and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge with semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Problem-solving skills in identifying issues and providing recommendations and solutions
  • A proven ability to drive for results and continuous improvement
  • Excellent skills in Mathematics
  • Must be experienced in both Windows & Linux operating systems
  • Understand client/server, web, and mobile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle


Experience with the following: 

  • Programming languages: C, C++ or C#; Python/Matlab
  • Microsoft .NET Framework and MVC architecture
  • CV libraries: OpenCV, AForge.NET or others
  • DL frameworks: Caffe2, Tensorflow, Keras
  • Ability to apply algorithms from image processing (filters, morphology), computer vision (feature detectors/descriptors) and machine learning (both traditional and deep learning) to different practical tasks.



B.S. degree in Computer Science is required.  Equivalent experience and other related certifications will be considered.
