As a Silicon Planning Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of Silicon Planning group in the Global Supply Chain department and will be responsible to analyze shippable supply plan based on a defined plan of record and work across cross-functional groups to identify capacity limitations. You will develop and maintain model metrics and facilitate the business process. You will coordinate scenarios, ad hoc studies related to supply-demand situations and conduct analysis, including operations modeling, financial and root cause analysis, and plan-to-plan comparisons. In this role, you will work with personnel in all levels of the organization. You will be expected to maintain knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing area processes and equipment, factory dynamics, optimization of supply and identify opportunities for improved productivity and have proficient skills related to data analysis and automation. Having strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems will make this job successful.


Key Role Responsibilities & Tasks include to:


  • Shippable Supply Plan based on the current plan of record
  • Allocate and provide a signal to front-end Manufacturing on product mix
  • Coordinate and Conduct Supply Demand Scenarios and Analysis 
  • Maintain or Utilize Planning Systems, Processes, and Applications
  • Provide Expertise, Consultation, and Research
  • Conduct Analytics
  • Support or Administer Business Processes
  • Research internal or external information and data
  • Facilitate and drive cross-functional discussions at various levels of the supply chain that involve potential changes to the business plan
  • Act as a subject matter expert within specialty with latitude for decision making
  • Working effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams to apply the supply chain planning process and leading team efforts related to supply planning


Preferred Skills


  • Advanced Data Analytics Demonstrate the ability to collect customer requirements, leverage appropriate data sources to report and analyze data through inspection, verification, and evaluation. 


  • Business Acumen – Keenness and understanding of internal and/or external business drivers, decisions, relationships and influencing factors that affect the accomplishment of desired business outcomes


  • Interact with management and executives comfortably






  • Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research




  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) Certification - APICS is the association for supply chain management.
