As a Sr Product Engineer for the DRAM Engineering Group, you will develop each new generation of DRAM memory as it transitions from the design stage to mass production. Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments. This is critical to Micron as it serves the company's charter to be the most cost-effective and innovative producer of DRAM memory.
 
Your job duties will include wafer and component level circuit debug, device characterization for improved operation and testability, and detailed DRAM analysis to maximize end-user performance and reliability.  Other responsibilities include circuit simulation, failure analysis, assistance with both internal qualification and customer implementation, yield optimization, and Test program development at the wafer, component, and module steps.

 

Successful candidates will have, but not limited to:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Course work in VLSI, semiconductor process, Python and C/C++ are required for some roles
  • For senior-level positions, industry experience in semiconductor/memory product engineering
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm

As a Senior Product Engineer on Emerging Memory, you will be tasked with a large variety of tasks on the process and product development for an emerging technology. The job includes interfacing with, Technology Development, design, QRA and the business units. You will use your expertise to validate and steer the direction of next-generation memory technology. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, able to think creatively and work in a team environment.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks include the following, but not limited to:

 

  • Debug and identify root cause and failures in design and process issues
  • Utilize simulation and bench work to debug problems
  • Analyze probe and backend test data
  • Bench debug including electrical failure analysis
  • Develop methodologies for testing and qualification on new memory technologies
  • Feedback to design on testing methods
  • Feedback to Technology Development process teams
  • Mentor other engineers

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • VLSI knowledge and Cadence experience
  • CMOS process experience
  • CMOS qualification experience
  • General programming knowledge
  • DRAM knowledge
