Senior Manager Physical Security Systems and Technology

As the Sr. Manager of Physical Security Systems and Technology, you will be a member of Micron’s Physical Security leadership team. This person will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, and day to day ownership and operations of the physical security team’s global systems and technology tools and programs. You will drive the architecture, standards, improvements and future road map of physical security systems focusing on card access control, CCTV, and business security tools for process improvement to the corporate security team. You will work closely with Micron’s physical security operations centers throughout the globe establishing standards, best practices, and technology road maps. You will have both direct reports and indirect reporting relationships within the physical security organization.

 

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

 

Major activities

 

  • Ensure security systems comply with international, federal and state regulations
  • Prepare, publish and revise system solution standards, technical specifications and procedures for applications across the enterprise
  • Ensure solutions adhere to physical security policies and standards
  • Partner with Security Operations on assessments and comprehensive security enhancement opportunities
  • Develop strategies to build dynamic and innovative physical security and technology solutions to create room to collaborate within the team
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities in application processes, technologies and metrics
  • Develop and/or approve security site designs for installation and maintenance for intrusion detection, access control, and video management systems
  • Create the system requirements and systems protocol for the Physical Security Operations Centers (GSOC) across the globe
  • Develop site design playbooks and integration standards for the enterprise security systems
  • Lead project managers and integrators efforts to install, program and commission new system
  • Manage all implementation projects that are physical security technology or system focused
  • Develop data integrity processes and configuration standards for enterprise systems and applications
  • Manage and support the resolution of system issues
  • Develops global security policies, standards, procedures, training and awareness programs as they relate to physical security systems and technology.
  • Aligns implementation across the enterprise through the physical security operations teams including physical security procedures to ensure risks are properly evaluated and are strategically aligned to vulnerabilities across the organization.
  • Supports and coordinates efforts with Physical Security’s Protective Services to ensure regional resources are properly aligned to support inteligence and risk mitigation programs.
  • Coordinates with Physical Security Operations in strategy for the security operations centers in support of the crisis management efforts.
  • Aligns strategy to meet stakeholder needs and requirements across multiple business units.
  • Leads supplier relationships and services agreements relevant to physical security systems and technology providers.
  • Responsible for oversight of budget process for security systems and technology
  • Close coordination across multiple cost center owners including IT, Procurement Real Estate and Facilities
  • Serves as overall lead for physical security awareness content including intranet site, teams sites and other related communication portals.

 

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal justice, Law enforcement, IT or related field from an accredited institution
  • 10 years of experience in corporate security systems management
  • 10 years working with various access control platforms including Lenel
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a major corporation or Fortune 500 industries.
  • Master’s degree in criminal justice or relevant business or IT fields of study
  • Proficiency in the international security arena
