This is a senior position within the Supply Chain organization supporting the planning and execution systems powering Micron’s multi-billion-dollar semiconductor supply chain. This position leads our “internal consulting” team of IT specialists tasked with using technology and process innovations to improve Micron’s end-to-end supply chain. This team is on the front line, taking on the latest business challenges, framing solution options and ultimately partnering with Global Supply Chain business teams for implementation and realization. In this leadership-by-example position, you will be expected to get into the details with your team, prioritize a portfolio of work activities, while working closely with senior management to help define the broader strategy. The ideal candidate will have the vision to translate business need into system capability while providing the leadership to see solutions through to delivery.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Serve as primary internal consultant and vision leader within Supply Chain on SAP APO capabilities and operations planning preferred practices: DP, SNP(CTM), GATP
- Provide expert architectural, functional and process guidance on approach and capabilities
- Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Planning leadership to understand capability needs and to improve the overall efficiency of planning teams
- Lead a team of highly experienced Supply Chain Analysts and Software Engineers supporting Demand Planning, Master Scheduling and Order Fulfillment functions
- Ability to deliver large scale, high-value projects within an established delivery methodology
- Work within cross-functional teams (Operations areas, IT, PMO) to drive successful deployments
- Define, lead and execute a multi-year supply chain capabilities roadmap
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or industry-related curriculum
- 8+ years of related IT or Supply Chain program/project leadership
- 5+ years supply chain experience
- 5+ years SAP APO systems experience
- Outstanding technical understanding of SAP APO, including DP, GATP (and MLATP), and SNP (CTM)
- Strong leadership, communication, consulting and influencing skills
- Deep knowledge of supply chain preferred practices
- Strong systems thinking capability
- Strategic thinking skills
- Highly ambitious and outcome oriented
- Program/Project management, with experience leading multiple large projects
- The capability to build strong rapport with customer groups
- Experience in collaborating with team members to get results
- Ability to facilitate and drive decisions and clarification
- Apply discretion and confidentiality to handle sensitive and complex issues
- The ability to work independently with short deadlines
- Problem resolution skills
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
Preferred:
- Graduate studies
- APICS certification is helpful
- 10+ years of experience including leadership in large-scale capability deployments supporting critical business processes
- Experience with planning in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Experience in the high-tech industry
