Senior Manager, Business Resilience

Qualifications:

Micron’s global business resilience organization consists of three programs: Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management, and IT Disaster Recovery. This position requires a proven domain specialist with demonstrated competency in the planning, development, program execution, maintenance and testing of Enterprise Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis/Incident Management programs. This role will oversee the team responsible for supporting these programs.

 

This position will require off-business hour availability and travel.

Essential Functions

  • Support the Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery team in all aspects of the role ranging from global program implementation to team mentorship
  • Assist in developing the program roadmap by providing leadership and strategic guidance on design and implementation in accordance with program requirements, industry best-practices and standards
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of resilience programs. This includes:
  • Providing active support to daily oversight of the core program as well as cross-functional efforts such as recovery capability alignment and systems administration
  • Leading business continuity focused meetings with senior and executive management to provide awareness, gather support, and set the scope of the program
  • Identify and support process, system, and tool improvements specific to organizational resilience
  • Develop, maintain, and adhere to program policy, metrics, KPIs, training, exercises, regulatory requirements, and all other supporting governance activities
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to enhance resilience capabilities
  • Ensure critical IT DR applications have fully documented, tested, executable plans that contain all required information, reflect current conditions from an IT infrastructure recovery standpoint, and are able to support the recovery objectives of the organization
  • Assist in preparation for audit events

 

Qualifications

  • 10 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)
  • 5+ years of experience leading direct reports
  • Experience with business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery programs, methodologies, and applicable principles as well as their methods of implementation and maintenance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of resilience and recovery strategies in complex organizations
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-functional teams within a formalized methodology

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree preferred in the field of Business, Technology, and Organizational Resilience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in business continuity or related
  • Preferred studies include Business Administration, Business Continuity Management, Management Information Systems, and Computer Science
  • CBCI, CBCP, MBCP, ABCP, CRISC, or CISA certification
  • Familiarity with fundamental IT concepts, infrastructure & data center technologies
  • Consistent track record of collaboration and teamwork beyond direct-line reporting
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite, disaster recovery and business continuity planning software, and program management
  • Applied experience in strategy development and implementation of automated workflows demonstrating technology
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, constantly evolving, and high-pressured environment
  • Good interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels
  • High level of personal initiative, creativity and self-motivation
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
