Senior Design Manager

As a Senior Design Manager for the Emerging Memory team, you will lead a design team designing and implementing advanced critical circuits common to all Emerging and DRAM related memory products. In this position, you will need to use both analog and digital CMOS design skills and will be responsible for the development, design, optimization, and deployment of these circuits to current and future memories. You will work in partnership with Product Engineering to verify silicon performance compared to simulation performance of the circuits your team has designed. You will also work with Process integration and transistor modeling teams in designing the circuits.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of digital design & verification engineers by applying talent development and people management skills to create a motivated high-performance team.
  • Being a technical authority in overseeing a team that specializes in state-of-the-art digital design, simulation and static verification techniques, constrained-random stimulus, auto-checking regressions, and functional coverage.
  • Understanding the device and system-level requirements, building test benches that measure parametric performance and proving functional correctness, all to achieve full product requirements.
  • Identify cost-effective, innovative and automating techniques, and drive the team to implement them on new devices.
  • Developing and maintaining a network with other design and verification engineers to facilitate IP re-use, improve tools and automation, and share best practices.
  • Reviewing the digital and analog design to provide guidance
  • Support of design methodology improvements


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent (Masters Preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills as a design supervisor or have experience in leading a team
  • 12+ years of professional experience with circuit design and verification of memory products containing analog circuits and digital logic
  • Strong background in analog circuits, digital logic, chip architecture, Cadence Virtuoso, Verilog, and randomization
  • Deep knowledge of circuit design, digital logic, and logic verification methodology
  • An understanding of scripting and Verilog coding
  • Good knowledge of programming language such as C++, and scripting languages like Python and PERL
