SSD Systems Architecture Senior Modeling Engineer

 

As a Solid State Drive (SSD) System Architecture Senior Modeling Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will create and lead development of high-performance SSD models for innovative non-volatile memory systems. You can expect to work closely with expert system, firmware, hardware, NAND, test and product engineers to solve leading edge cross-functional technology and product development problems.

 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

·         Developing algorithms and modeling solutions for complex system problems

·         Providing technical leadership for small cross-functional modeling teams

·         Developing new simulation tools, infrastructure and performance metrics analysis

·         Evangelizing developed solutions supported by modeled results analysis

·         Numerically analyzing problems and solutions, and publishing analyses results

·         Performing behavioral, numerical and detailed temporal analysis of advanced architectures

·         Working with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and optimize new ideas, architectures, algorithms, performance and components

·         Modeling memory devices, controllers, interconnects, processors and advanced workloads

 

 

Experience:

A successful candidate for this position will have / be the following:

·         4+ years of experience with modeling tools and techniques

·         4+ years of experience in embedded systems

·         4+ years of experience with NAND memory systems

·         4+ years of experience with C++, SystemC and Python

·         2+ years of experience with ARM based processors

·         Strong working knowledge of architecture, microarchitecture and design analysis

·         Strong working knowledge of math, statistics and data analysis skills

·         Highly organized and self-motivated

·         React and adapt to changes in project requirements

·         Excellent software development practices

·         Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

·         Excellent verbal communication and written skills

·         Strong technical leadership skills

·         A strong individual contributor as well as a team player

 

 

Education:

·         A PhD in Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
