SIG Electrical Change Engineer

Position Description:


As an electrical engineering change management engineer for the Systems Integration Group (SIG) in Boise, ID, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing design changes related to the manufacturing of SIG designed Micron semiconductor test equipment.  In this position you will work closely with the design teams and contract manufacturing to address changes needed to bring test equipment to production. 


Responsibilities and Tasks:




  • Applies learned technical design concepts and follows detailed instructions.
  • Solves complex design problems and seeks guidance as needed.
  • Integrates knowledge of concepts, principles and theories of Electrical Engineering.
  • Understands principles related to design for manufacturing and test (DFM/DFT).


    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Reviewing and recommending alternate sources for electrical components.
  • Managing component status on material lists and in part libraries.
  • Writing change assessment reports, lab reports, and other technical documents.
  • Designing experiments and performing lab qualifications of design changes.
  • Tracking and prioritizing design change requests from contract manufacturers.
  • Updating design documentation and schematics.
  • Writing and understanding test software as it relates to electronic debug and verification.
  • Presenting technical work for peer review.
  • Working in a team to accomplish a goal.


    Desired Tool Experience:


  • Schematic capture and layout tools including Cadence or Mentor Graphics.
  • Lab equipment including Oscilloscopes and DMMs.
  • Linux OS.
  • Python, C/C++, or other programming languages.
  • MSOffice Suite


    Education Requirements:

    •        BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required
