We are looking for an individual who can help improve how probe operates. This will require working with various teams within Micron to understand their requirements, then coordinate with Probe engineering and operations to meet those requirements. You will develop and refine business processes to facilitate a smooth operation, and collaborating further with Micron global teams.

We need a team member who is familiar with Probe and Backend processes, while also understanding customer expectations. The job focuses on Probe in Boise, but will require regular collaboration with teams spread through the US, Asia, and Europe.

We are looking for somebody to join our team who has the ability to balance tactical urgency and strategic needs. This job will require balancing multiple requests with varying priorities from a wide variety of teams. Your ability to make independent, thoughtful decisions is required.

 

Do you excel at building processes to make everybody more efficient? Probe is a R&D environment that can be chaotic at times. This position will help drive business processes and best-known-methods to facilitate more effective and efficient operations and collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Tactical Planning

You will provide tactical planning and priority leadership. This includes

  • Communicating short-term constraints, issues, priorities, and special instructions
  • Monitoring, adjusting, and Follow Up as necessary

Set Up System Tools to Handle Future Products

You will setup and configure Micron systems to enable the smooth processing of product. This will require

  • Setting up disposition, attributes, and flows
  • Optimizing flows to improve efficiency and quality
  • Innovating to enhance Probe's capabilities

Inventory Management

You will collaborate with Operations leadership to assist in the managing the systems that prioritize Fab 4 Probe inventory, with minimal impediment, and ensuring lots are dispositioned appropriately. You will need to

  • Understand customer and partner priorities
  • Communicate those priorities to the appropriate teams
  • Analyze Fab 4 Probe inventories, and work with worldwide teams to manage
  • Make adjustments as necessary

Project Management

You will lead various projects and efforts, acting as the key contact and responsible for ensuring good communication between various engineering and support teams. Success will require

  • Working with various teams to understand and correctly set requirements and expectations
  • Clearly communicating the status and any obstacles
  • Making adjustments as necessary
  • Cooperate with all audits

Provide Development and Mentoring

With your broad experience and direct customer/partner interaction, you will be part of the Probe leadership team, and as such will be expected to

  • Help establish Probe team goals and metrics
  • Provide feedback on Probe team performance
  • Provide training to the Probe team and our partners

EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, Security)

You will help to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues

  • Observe all established EHSS policies, requirements and procedures
  • Follow EHSS guidelines included in work instructions
  • Report conditions or behaviors that are contrary to EHSS policies or procedures

To be successful, you need the following skills and experience

  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to form a consensus in an environment of competing priorities
  • A strong attention to detail even in complex situations
  • An ability to drive improvement through identifying gaps, working with others, and resolving root cause
  • Ability to use standard office tools (MS Office) for communicating status and driving alignment
  • An interest in working in an ever-changing environment where a desire to continuously learn and improve is a requirement

Education

We strongly prefer a two year Associates degree or higher, a degree including Algebra and English. Exceptions can be made based on appropriate experience.

Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and especially Micron front-end and back-end processes is very helpful.
